the author
Shashi Holla
Shashi Holla is an Indian-Australian small business owner based in Western Australia. Before finding his way to Australia, Shashi worked for ten years in the health sectors of Botswana.
Being an ardent student of Indology and independent researcher, this is his first book on diaspora literature covering India-Australia.
Shashi is a practising pharmacist and holds a master’s in public health from Monash University. Shashi had a stint in pharmaceutical segments in India and Botswana prior migrating to Australia in 2008. After associating with several community organisations in Australia, Shashi developed a deep interest in studying the interface between diaspora and host society interactions. In this book, he explores the missing link in the India-Australia story.
